We had a client contact us who was 4 months pregnant. She was afraid and considering an abortion. She spoke to one of our staff and scheduled an ultrasound appointment. Before she arrived, she spoke to the baby’s father and expressed her thoughts around having an abortion. Through support and care, the baby’s father encouraged her to choose life for their baby, and by the time she arrived at her appointment, her desires to pursue an abortion had lessened.
The second she saw her baby on the ultrasound screen, any thoughts on having an abortion ended. After seeing the life inside of her, she couldn’t believe she had even considered abortion for a second. Not only does this situation show how important it is for expectant moms to see their baby on an ultrasound, but it also speaks to the significant impact that the father has in a mother’s decision.
