Christa came into Amnion with a very guarded heart. Her previous visit showed a non-viable pregnancy last year. Now she believed she may be pregnant again, but hadn’t even taken a pregnancy test. She had 5 pregnancy losses in the past and two living children. When I did the pregnancy test, it immediately came up positive. As we prepared for the ultrasound, I felt the weight of anxiety in anticipation of what we would find on the ultrasound.
In contrast to her previous visit, this time we saw a baby immediately moving around. The baby’s measurements showed he/she was nearing the 2nd trimester. It was such a relief to see – almost the moment I put the probe on her abdomen, there was a baby that was alive and well, growing in her womb!
This client’s window into the womb, of seeing life, changed her heart to hope.
I was very grateful to be part of this moment with her. We prayed together before she left.
