I have always been pro-life, and am honored to work for a ministry that encourages families to choose life in such a compassionate and caring environment. I appreciate all of the PEOPLE who are connected to Amnion -- those who are passionate about the ministry -- from the employees, to Board Members, donors, volunteers and clients who give of their time, talents and resources to support this Kingdom ministry. It is such a blessing to touch the lives of the people we serve.

I am so honored to be a part of the team at Amnion. Although I have many years of business management experience, I now have the fulfillment that comes with working with an organization that does so much good. The pro-life movement is very close to my heart. I was offered the option of abortion while carrying my third son. Having been diagnosed prenatally with a life limiting condition, his life, by some, may have been deemed worthless. Thankfully, I had a very supportive team of doctors and after his birth we were blessed with 6 days with our son, David, before God called him home. My husband and I knew that it was not our place to decide when he had completed his time on earth and we would not trade that time we had with him. The work that Amnion does is so vital to women in the community who may not have a support team or know where to turn for help.
When not working, I am spending time with my other two sons and my husband. We love to be in the outdoors, either hiking or at the beach! Along with also being a piano teacher, I am an avid reader who loves to bake and spend time entertaining family and friends.

I am thrilled to be part of the Amnion team. I have spent my career working with women across the lifespan. As I have evolved over the years both in my faith and profession, God has continued to open doors. He has given me a heart for women, obstetrics and the pre-born; this position at Amnion combines all of my passions! I am honored to walk beside women through difficult times and to be able to reveal to them via ultrasound imaging, the life growing within them. At Amnion, we welcome any woman or couple, regardless of whether a pregnancy is desired or not, to come see us for ultrasound prior to making their decision.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have 5 beautiful children and an amazing husband who has supported me wholeheartedly on my journey. I love running, nature, baking, reading, my fireplace, prayer and my Church. Being at Amnion has also allowed me time to go to daily mass, recharge and refocus each morning. I am a blessed Daughter of the King!
Shelby Smith
Development Coordinator

Ever since I was little, I’ve always known that I wanted to help people. After my sophomore year of college, I was blessed with an internship at a pregnancy center and absolutely fell in love with their mission. My heart for women and men facing unplanned pregnancy grew and I became passionate about serving them and showing them the love of Christ.
I was so thankful when God opened the door to Amnion as the Development Coordinator right after graduating from Penn State! To be able to use my time and talents to work for a cause that I care about so much is truly a gift. I am thrilled to be working with a ministry that passionately pursues helping others, protecting life, and sharing the love of Christ!
I am married to my wonderful husband Nathan, a software engineer, and in my spare time I enjoy reading, hiking, baking, exploring new places, and spending quality time with those that I love!
Cullen Henry
RealEd Speaker
Adolescents are constantly bombarded with conflicting messages regarding sex and relationships. Surrounded by so many voices, young people find it difficult to pick out which are speaking the truth, leaving them often confused and vulnerable in this area of their lives. With this in mind, I am more than excited to join the RealEd team and Amnion as a whole as we equip students to build healthy relationships that foster sexually healthy lives. I truly appreciate Amnion’s commitment to life-affirming, holistic ministry that supports the next generation before, during, and after they find themselves in crises situations; and I pray that this genuine compassion and support will more fully reveal Jesus Christ who entered a world in crisis to offer salvation and hope for the future and the present.
When I am not working or studying, you will most likely find me running, rock climbing, playing board games, or sitting down for a good conversation with my friends. But with all of that going on, it may be hard to find me at all!
Melanie Becker
Client Advocate

They say the Lord has a purpose and he will prepare you for that purpose. We may never know what that is until it’s right in front of us.
The Lord has placed people in my path throughout my life when they are seemingly at their weakest points. I never really understood why, nor did I ask. I relied on the Lord to guide me and be a light in their time of need. Little did I know that he was preparing me for the role of Client Advocate here at Amnion Pregnancy Center.
To be able to be there for both women, and sometimes men, at a time in their lives that seems scary and lonely, and to witness God soften their hearts and choose life, is truly a blessing.
When I’m not in the office, I enjoy trying new recipes and having others do the taste testing. My husband Kyle and I have fun playing with our 4 foot Argentine Tegu named CJ and watching him run through our house and enjoy sitting on the dock with our fishing poles in the water.
Rona Babb
On-call Biblical Counselor
God is at work at Amnion, and I'm thankful to be a part of this team as we witness His truth and love impact the women He entrusts to our care.
As a Biblical counselor, my focus is to bring the power of God's word and truth, bringing hope to life with each client. I have served in campus ministry and Biblical counseling for more than 5 years while I earned my MDiv with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling at Westminster Theological Seminary. When I'm not seeing clients and reading dense theological textbooks, I enjoy spending time outside hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, reading literature and poetry, and petting all the puppies.
