Medical Team
Medical Director, George Isajiw, M.D., K.M.
Dr. Isajiw is honored to serve as Medical Director for Amnion. For 35 years, he has been practicing general internal medicine in Lansdowne, PA. Dr. Isajiw is also a Knight of Malta (K.M.), a Catholic lay religious order dedicated to the service of the poor and the sick.
From Dr. Isajiw… My commitment began during medical school training at Jefferson Medical College, when prior to Roe v Wade, abortion was legal only in cases of "rape, fetal abnormality and to save the life of the mother". Working part time as a blood bank technician, I saw the surgical "specimens", -- mangled bodies of second and third trimester unborn children who were sacrificed to "save the life" of the mother, with two psychiatrists certifying that an abortion was medically necessary to prevent the mother from suicide -- a heartbreaking reality of the duplicity and the lies promoted by the "pro choice" slogan.
I was a founding member of Women's Pregnancy Health Services, providing free pro-life counseling by physicians since 1980. In 1991, I helped establish Mothers' Home, a full service maternity shelter… after 18 pregnant mothers had lived in our own home in Upper Darby over a period of 10 years, a reflection of the dedication of my wife, Patricia.

Nurse Manager, Melanie Winter, CRNP
I am thrilled to be part of the Amnion team. I have spent my career working with women across the lifespan. As I have evolved over the years both in my faith and profession, God has continued to open doors. He has given me a heart for women, obstetrics and the pre-born; this position at Amnion combines all of my passions! I am honored to walk beside women through difficult times and to be able to reveal to them via ultrasound imaging, the life growing within them. At Amnion, we welcome any woman or couple, regardless of whether a pregnancy is desired or not, to come see us for ultrasound prior to making their decision.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I have 5 beautiful children and an amazing husband who has supported me wholeheartedly on my journey. I love running, nature, baking, reading, my fireplace, prayer and my Church. Being at Amnion has also allowed me time to go to daily mass, recharge and refocus each morning. I am a blessed Daughter of the King!
